Unbalanced Screening

Drop Cap Letter: You know that independent television pilot I’ve been blabbing about for a year?  The one with the big title treatment on this page?  It’s done.  It’s off to festival submissions.  It’s screening in Cambridge on Columbus Day, for free, and if you’re reading this you’re invited.

UNBALANCED Screening
9pm, Columbus Day (October 12)
ImprovBoston
40 Prospect St, Cambridge MA 02139

This is what a year’s worth of work looks like in timeline format.  I know you want to see what it looks like in video format.

All good things.  Onward!

Stay at Home

Drop Cap Letter: Finally found an online version of the HBO spot I have a small role in.  Viewpoint Creative, the co-producers of the spot, have offices in LA and Needham, MA - hence the local casting call.

¡Viva el Perú!

Machu Picchu

Drop Cap Letter: Sarah and I have returned from a wondrous, adventurous, and lovely honeymoon in Peru.  We explored the country by foot, train, plane, and boat, but the highlight was our 4-day trek on the Inca Trail to the city of Machu Picchu (see above).  This is my version of the iconic photo of Machu Picchu, taken in the early morning.  Versions of this image are ubiquitous in Peru, from the backgrounds of taxi driver licenses to kebab house menus.  However, this surfeit of exposure does nothing to diminish the real thing, and this photo—the first of many we’ll share—is another feeble attempt to capture the majesty of the ancient Inca city.

Pilot Progress Report

Memorial Day weekend was the biggest, most ambitious filming block for the pilot, and I’m happy to write that it was a success.  We shot about half of the script in a single long weekend, thanks to the preparedness, efficiency, and talent of everybody involved.

Unbalanced Still

There are still two weekends of shooting to go, but the schedules are a little more relaxed, and the technical demands of the scenes are fewer (fingers crossed).  Onward!
